Hi Susan,
Oh, I'm deeply sorry for nothing reply you, cause of my sickness. I didn't know you have been waiting for my answer or this could help you.
For your question, we do knit all of C6F and C6B.
How many stitches?

C6F = Cable 6 front
1. Slip the next 3 stitches onto the cable needle,
2. Hold the cable needle in front of the work,
3. Knit the next 3 stitches from the left hand needle onto the right hand needle.
4. Then knit the stitches from the cable needle onto the right hand needle.

C6B = Cable 6 back
Put next 3 sts on calbe holder and leave at back of work, K3, then K3 from holder

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I am currently knitting this cable neck warmer,And need help. Could you please help me understand better how to make the button holes? I have never made button holes before and am a little bit confused while reading the pattern for the button hole part.

Hi there,
For the hole button pattern,
on row #3: k2,p2,*slip 3 stitches to cable needle and hold in front, k3 stitches from the left needle then back to knit from the cable needle k1,yo,k2tog,p2*.

repeat *....* for twice times or until you have 4 stitches on your left needle then p2,k2.

Repeat row #4 along the pattern.
And bind off on row #5

I would be happy if this could help you and so sorry for my English.
